So here it is. Let the rituals begin, from the morning… beautiful mornings, I hope — for everyone! Working as a creative, my head is never really off, and Milan sometimes brings that extra adrenaline of ‘quick espresso standing at the bar, phone in the other hand, drinking fast and rushing around’ — always “on the go.” After 20 years here, it made me build in some routine of mental stop, acquiring some time for myself before everyone else! When I can, my mornings I want to take slow — at least the first hour and a half! After that, of course, I go training, and then my day starts…!

This is not something I skip. Every single morning, no exceptions — yes, believe me, if I am traveling, I bring the whole kit with me: squeezer, my ingredients, and I will be happy and ready to go.

My ritual — non-negotiable, and now not a secret anymore — first thing in the morning, always on an empty stomach: I go quickly to the kitchen, prepare it, and run back to bed with my shaker… full of my secret little beauty potion! Ahh, what a sensation — little Paula simply adores it! Still in bed, I read five pages of whatever’s “the current book in my life” — or scroll the newspaper on my phone.

What’s in my secret little beauty potion? Lemon to wake everything up, raw bitter cacao for the depth — alkalized, unsweetened, no shortcuts — and organic turmeric for the warm, earthy note that ties it all together. Ten drops of alcoholic propolis, a small habit I’ve kept for years now. And the win-win: L-Glutamine, unflavored and easy to dissolve, the base of it all — I include it for its antioxidant profile and the steady energy it gives me through the day. My extra sauce for this ritual? A few minutes of gratitude, breathing and praying, mentalizing and manifesting. It’s the first of a few recipes I’ll be sharing, and it’s the one that started it all. I call it The Non-Negotiable, because that’s exactly what it became: the one thing that stays fixed while everything else in a day can move. This is my favorite part of the day, the start of my thinking, my morning ritual — sacred, and mine to enjoy in peace before the day gets to decide anything for me!

Curious Eyes, the Edit starts here.

My first twenty years were shaped by Brazil. The twenty since have been shaped by Milan. Somewhere between the two, choosing became my job — fabrics, shapes, colors, the difference between something that works and something that’s just fine ( well actually incredibly beautiful!). And somewhere along the way, I learned that taste isn’t really about categories. It’s a way of looking at the world.

This is where I write it down. Some weeks it’s a ritual, some weeks a piece I can’t stop thinking about, some weeks something I’m building at home. All of it filtered through the same eye.

Here's the fuller picture, if you're curious. I was born and raised in Brazil, where the color and energy of the landscape left a mark that still shows up in everything I make. After a degree in Industrial Design, I moved to Milan in 2005 for a Master in Fashion Accessories at Istituto Marangoni — Magna Cum Laude, for what it's worth (probably three hours of sleep a night, way too many espressos and dark chocolate, just to get good grades and learn the Italian landscape fast — I miss those years sometimes!). Versace came next, a few formative years learning the glam, the wow, what it takes to run a multinational brand, and of course the technical side of luxury. In 2009, Vogue Talents selected me as one of its emerging designers, and in 2011 I launched my own label — bags first, then shoes, then everything else. Over the next twelve years, it grew into an internationally recognized brand, carried in more than 175 stores worldwide. In 2016, Business of Fashion included me in their BoF 500 — a name I still carry today.

But fashion was never the whole story. Design collaborations followed — rugs for Illulian, art direction for Pennisi, work with Nike, Kartell, and Bitossi along the way. Chairs, sneakers, ceramics, carpets — if it needed an eye, I was interested.

WHY I’M HERE

I believe this is a new way of sharing. I’ve spent two decades choosing things for other people to see — collections, campaigns, objects, rooms — not to mention the tips I’ve given along the way, to friends or to strangers who messaged me on Instagram or stopped me on the streets asking what I was wearing and where to find it, which accessory of the season was worth buying, how I keep my skin glowing, or how I’ve kept my shape after 40 — the secret recipe with low calories but double the yum-yummy, OMG! All things that genuinely make me happy, and that I’m eager to share. What I’d never really done was write any of it down in my own words. I’ve always loved talking about what I see and what I think — not just the object itself, but how it might make someone’s life a little more beautiful, a little more interesting, a little more comfy and happy through the tough times. For years, all of that stayed inside my closest circle. Now I want to open it up to whoever’s curious enough to want in.

This isn’t a shop, even though you’ll find things here worth owning. It’s closer to a running notebook — the eye I’ve built over twenty years, pointed at whatever I’m paying attention to right now. That’s wellness, this season. Later, it’ll be other things too — art, spaces, the way a room comes together. The thread stays the same: it all has to earn its place.

I hope it sparks something in you too — a little curiosity, a little wish to dive in, to discover this new universe alongside me.
